Local Freemasons fund the development of our GCSE in British Sign Language

We are pleased to announce that we have received £18,000 from The Freemasons’ Grand Charity. This grant will be used to fund the development of our GCSE in British Sign Language.

Signature welcomes London Assembly call for better data about the number of deaf people

Signature has welcomed the London Assembly report on access to health services for deaf people.

Produced by the Health Committee, the report notes the disappointing progress five years since the Equality Act came into force in 2010.

UK Council on Deafness welcomes Access to Work research but remains concerned about cap on awards

The UK Council on Deafness welcomes the Department for Work and Pensions’ desire to establish the return on investment delivered by Access to Work.

The need for research was identified in the equality analysis for the future of Access to Work. It said, “establishing the return on investment delivered by Access to Work will build the case for increased funding”.

The Ear Foundation currently has the opportunity to win funding from the One Family Community Award, to enable them to refurbish their residential facilities at Marjorie Sherman House.
