Hertfordshire Constabulary welcomes you to their headquarters

Members of the Deaf, deaf and deafblind communities, their carers, friends and families are warmly invited to come along to Hertfordshire Constabulary Police Headquarters in Welwyn Garden City on Saturday 8 May 2010. You can meet the volunteer Link Officers, visit the County Control Room and experience the Emergency Text Messaging Service in practice.

SIGNtific

The Science Museum has an exciting new programme of Family Events called SIGNtific. This is a range of shows, workshops and storytelling led by Deaf presenters who are using BSL with voice over interpreters.

BSL Interpreted events at V&A Museum

The V&A Museum is holding BSL interpreted events from April - June 2010. Entry to the Museum is free and people with disabilities are entitled to free admission to V&A exhibitions with up to two friends.

Confirmation of Funding

Our Level 1 Award in British Sign Language and Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language have been confirmed as appropriate for public funding in Adult Learner Responsive.

Our Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language is now recognised as Full Level 2 which gives it priority funding.

New CPD training available

The Basic Introduction to BSL Linguistics course is available on 10 June 2010 in Birmingham. This course includes types of signs, how a sign is made and changed, and a basic order of BSL signs. If you would like to book onto this course please download this booking form.
