Level Two BSL Homework Now Available

We are pleased to announce that Level 2 is now available on our new online BSL Homework site. Developed with BSL teachers from across the UK, the BSL Homework helps your learners practice what they have been taught in the classroom or prepare for an upcoming assessment. It has over 500 short stories in BSL, clips and questions to test your learners, and filmed assessment examples and tips. The BSL Homework also comes with a BSL Homework dictionary of over 1,100 signs.

BSL Homework Level 2 Now Available

Our newly launched online BSL Homework package is now available for centres, teachers and learners of Signature Level 1 Award in British Sign Language and Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language. Foyle Sign Language Centre Open New Premises

On Friday 2 October, Pam Tilson, Communications Manager with Signature in Northern Ireland was present at a reception to launch the new premises for Foyle Sign Language Centre and the reformation of the Deaf Association in the City.

Deaf and Deafblind Training for NHS Staff

Signature have been working closely with NHS Education for Scotland (NES), Deafblind Scotland and Commtacs to develop training for frontline NHS staff across Scotland. This training will consist of basic BSL skills and Deaf and deafblind awareness and will be aimed at those who have regular contact with patients and service users.

Awards Tickets a Sell Out

Tickets for the Signature Annual Award Ceremony, which takes place 12 November 2009 at The Private Rooms, Crowne Plaza Hotel, St James in London, have only been on sale since the end of August and the evening is already a complete sell out.

Signed Stories celebrates Children's Book Week

ITV is launching a unique online collection of animated nursery rhymes created especially for deaf children, to celebrate this year's Children's Book Week (5-11 October). Eleven new versions of traditional rhymes - created by young North East animators mentored by Bob The Builder creator Curtis Jobling - will feature on ITV's awardwinning website www.signedstories.com.

Heart's Legends Kick-off For Donaldson's

A team of pupils, staff and former pupils from Donaldson's School, Scotland's national residential and day school providing education, therapy and care for pupils aged 2 to 19 years who are deaf, are gearing up to take on the might of former professional footballers from Heart of Midlothian FC on Sunday 11 October.
