2013 Signature Annual Awards Nominations Now Open

2013 Signature Annual Awards

Today marks the beginning of our nationwide search for exceptional individuals, groups and organisations who are working to improve the lives of deaf and deafblind people throughout the UK and Ireland.

The 2013 Signature Annual Awards recognise the amazing success stories of those who have made an admirable contribution to improving communication and access for deaf and deafblind people. Now in our fifth year, the awards promise to be bigger and better than ever before.

Nominations are now open in the eight prestigious national award categories detailed below. Regional awards will be bestowed in the categories of Teacher of the Year and Learner of the Year, with regional winners from both categories then being shortlisted for the national award.

The award categories that will be announced in London in November include:

  • Joseph Maitland Robinson Award for Outstanding Contribution
  • Teacher of the Year
  • Learner of the Year
  • Young Learner of the Year (aged 16 years and under)
  • Centre of the Year
  • Communication Professional of the Year
  • Organisational Achievement
  • Community Spirit

Signature Chief Executive Jim Edwards said: “The Signature Annual Awards continue to go from strength to strength. It is encouraging to witness the work that is being done to help improve the lives of deaf and deafblind people across the UK. We hope to receive the same variety of high calibre nominations that we have received in recent years. There are so many people out there who deserve recognition for their efforts.”
